United States of America: Program Associate, Latin America and the Caribbean

Assists in the design, development and implementation of programs, projects and activities of the ABA ROLI Latin America and Caribbean division (LAC). Provides administrative support to LAC, and assists with general operations for LAC programs. Contributes to the development of grant proposals and budgets, and liaises with the internal support departments of ABA ROLI such as finance and outreach.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Implements one or more programs and/or projects, including participating in program and project planning.

· Ensures implementation of programs and projects conform to ABA policies.

· Analyzes project/program performance throughout the process to measure progress against the project/program plan

· Serves as a point of contact for projects and communicates with member leaders and staff on project status.

· Accountable for successful execution of assigned projects.

· Provide advanced administrative support functions in support of projects and/or major work groups.

· Performs other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

· Possession of basic skills in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.

· Previous experience working in an office environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Spanish proficiency (reading, writing, and speaking) at a professional or native level

· Familiarity with international development and the grant cycle, experience working with a USAID or State Department grants is highly preferred

· Experience supporting the development of grant budgets

· Administrative support experience in an office setting (planning travel, scheduling meetings, processing expense reports, etc.)

· Experience in Latin America/proven familiarity with the region
