ABA ROLI is recruiting for a Washington DC-based Anti-corruption specialist to provide substantive expertise to ABA ROLI staff and partners. This may include reviewing existing laws, policies, and practices; advising on regional and global standards and best practices; developing training guides and programs for program partners; conducting training; engaging in consultations with ABA ROLI staff and program partners; drafting model laws, policies, and procedures; and other work in support of global anticorruption efforts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
● Conduct research related corruption issues and solutions
● Identify and consolidate a body of expertise, skills, and resources regarding anti-corruption and good governance
● Develop successful methods and tools to combat corruption
● Leverage global knowledge to develop context-specific solutions and policy plans to address corruption
QUALIFICATIONS
· At least 5 years of experience in anticorruption or related fields, including:
Implementation of UN Convention Against Corruption
Development and implementation of codes of conduct for public officials
Anti-money laundering
Financial investigations and intelligence
Development of anti-corruption legislation
Investigation and prosecution of corruption offenses
Asset confiscation and recovery
Strengthening anti-corruption bodies
Civil society participation in anti-corruption efforts
Customs controls and integrity
· Experience working in international settings with diverse stakeholders
· Demonstrated ability to establish productive working relationships with program partners and donors
· Familiarity with anticorruption challenges in developing countries, and experience in remedial capacity development
· Fluency in English
· Bachelor’s degree required; law or other advance degree strongly preferred
