JOB SUMMARY
ABA ROLI seeks a dedicated Program Manager (PM) to coordinate the day-to-day operations of an award in the region. The program is focused on enhancing the investigation, adjudication and efficient resolution of criminal cases and reduce the number of persons detained and incarcerated in Lebanon’s prisons. The PM will be based in the region.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinates the day to day implementation of the project, taking responsibility for, timely implementation of activities, and coordination with local and international partners.
- Supports the assessment of alternatives to incarceration, work with other support staff to coordinate workshops, and manage short-term experts.
- Coordinates project logistics, reporting, and partner management as well as contributing to project deliverables.
- Other responsibilities include representing the ABA at external events, assisting with grant compliance, recruiting experts, and supervising support staff, as well as other related duties as requested.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Masters’ degree, or Graduate Degree in Law and at least four (4) years’ of relevant program management experience.
- Experience engaging with the justice sector in Lebanon or the region ideally with experience conducting programs with judges, prosecutors and/or law enforcement.
- Experience managing program funds and familiarity with US government rules and regulations for grants.
- Working knowledge of MENA region and/or experience working in politically sensitive contexts is highly desirable.
- Fluency in English (knowledge of Arabic is a plus);
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Availability to begin in early 2019.
