JOB SUMMARY
The ABA Rule of Law Initiative (ABA ROLI) is seeking a Summer 2019 intern for its Middle East and North Africa Division. Interns for ABA ROLI will work with program staff of their assigned division to gain an understanding of international development programs and international rule of law issues.
Although this is an unpaid position, interns at ABA ROLI are eligible for a wide variety of perks and learning opportunities including:
- Transportation reimbursement up to $15.00/day
- Field trips to D.C. legal destinations such as the U.S. Department of State, U.S. Supreme Court, and Library of Congress
- Brown-bag lunches with ABA ROLI staff and guest speakers
Specific Responsibilities:
The intern will assist the MENA division on a project to help complete the MENA’s master program catalog.
This will involve review the final reports from our approximately 145 programs and 1) preparing a short overview of each program and its results and 2) in coordination with M&E supporting the updating of our development results platform to include data on all programs, including program products, eg courses, manuals, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
- College Junior or Senior
Familiarity with international development or monitoring and evaluation would be helpful.
Someone who is extremely detailed oriented, with strong analytical and writing skills.
Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
Proficiency with MS Office and Outlook
Proactive work style.
