With guidance from the supervisor, the intern will conduct research for new program
development in the Africa region. For example, conducting research for new program
development and potential funding opportunities within the scope of ABA ROLI’s
programs; working closely with DC and regional field staff to assist in the
development of concept notes or proposals; preparing legal and regulatory
documentation to support the establishment and continuation of ABA’s
registration and compliance in countries of operation;
The intern will also contribute to current program related work. For example:
participation in project planning, developing outreach materials and reports,
conducting targeted research, assisting to draft and edit monthly, quarterly
and annual progress reports, and coordinating the development of monitoring and
evaluation tracking systems for current rule of law programs;
The intern will also help with drafting progress reports and generate outreach
materials.
The ideal candidate will have an interest and/or background in rule of law, civil
society engagement, legal clinical education, or other relevant subjects.
Preference for candidates who have, or are currently working toward a law
degree or a Master’s degree in a relevant field.
