ABA ROLI has nearly 700 professional staff working abroad and in its Washington, D.C. office. ABA ROLI’s host country partners include judges, lawyers, bar associations, law schools, court administrators, legislatures, ministries of justice and a wide array of civil society organizations, including human rights groups.
JOB SUMMARY
Finance Officer
ABA ROLI is seeking a Finance Officer to support the Finance Division’s oversight of ROLI and DOMESTIC Grants’ accounts, payroll, audits, and other general financial responsibilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Works independently with minimal supervision and manages accounts payable, accounts receivable, monthly financial reports.
Analyzes overall ABA ROLI revenue/spending by funder and region and advises managers on spending patterns.
Provides payroll-related support to staff and volunteers posted overseas. Maintains internal budgets, ensures fair allocation of support costs to active programs; provides budgeting support to program staff.
Assist in the preparation and completion of audits
Ensures compliance with organization’s procurement policies and proper allocation of costs for domestic purchases; investigates erroneous charges and oversees corrections.
Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree and four years related work experience or Master's degree and two years of related work experience required.
Must have strong communication, interpersonal and general ledger accounting skills, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and business writing and general analytical skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Familiarity with one or more languages spoken in organization’s host countries preferred.
Ability to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Previous experience interacting with program support staff, donors, and/or grantors.
Familiarity with Oracle and QuickBooks
Familiarity with Federal Regulations former OMB Circular A-122, A-133, A-110, SF-425 and/or the new Uniform Guidance 2 CFR 200
