JOB SUMMARY
Financial Analyst
ABA ROLI is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the Finance Division’s oversight of ROLI and DOMESTIC Grants’ budgets, accounts and other general financial responsibilities. The Financial Analyst will be the primary point of contact for proposal budgets, which involves input, review, and liaising between the Finance Division and program staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides intermediate analytical reports and recommendations based upon complex business transactions and/or provides financial analytical support on major projects.
Accountable for the development, analysis, and creation of standard and ad-hoc financial reports based upon data of varying degrees of complexity from within and outside of the ABA.
May create and recommend operational changes/modifications of business practices based upon historical and predictive data.
Creates assessments of revenue generation, cash flow needs, budget performance against plan, and proposes corrective actions where necessary.
Assists with the development and maintenance of the Association’s strategic financial models.
May assist with the development and deployment of pricing modeling for ABA products and services.
Ensures budgetary compliance records and assists with creating supporting materials for Measurement and effectiveness, Internal Audit, USAID, or other major operating divisions within the Association.
Effectively optimizes reporting capabilities through financial systems enhancements and the implementation of best practices of GAAP and the ABA financial policy requirements.
May assist with the development and analysis of all capital budgeting requests.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Finance, Accounting, Economics, and/ or Business Administration.
At least one year experience working in a financial analysis capacity which must have included responsibility for budgeting, report creation, financial analysis, and/or accounting.
At least one year experience working with an ERP and/or financial reporting systems.
Possession of an intermediate skill level in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and Word
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Possession of a Master’s degree from an accredited college of university.
Credentialed as a Certified Public Accountant.
Experience doing macro-financial analysis of large international budgets
Previous experience interacting with program support staff, donors, and/or grantors.
Experience ensuring budgetary compliance with USG grants such as USAID and Department of State
Ability to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Must have strong communication, interpersonal and general ledger accounting skills, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and business writing and general analytical skills.
Familiarity with Oracle
Familiarity with USG circulars, especially 2 CFR 200
Managerial experience and/or foreign language proficiency a plus
